I was thrilled when my cousin, Marsha, asked me to take senior pictures for her daughter, Sierra.   She’s photogenic and just gorgeous! Sierra made my job so easy, and I’m really happy with the results.  Here’s a preview of our senior session.  🙂

In 1947…  the average annual salary was $2,850, a gallon of gas was 15 cents and you could buy a new car for $1,300…

Alice worked with her mom in the restaurant that was on the lower level of their house.  They served many of the soldiers since the restaurant was across the street from the Woodrow Wilson Army Hospital.  Metro worked at the hospital and met Alice through coming to the restaurant and flirting with the pretty waitress.  They dated for about 6 months and were married.  They built their own little love nest right next to where Alice grew up and began to start a family….   Metro and Alice’s family has grown quite a bit and after 63 years of marriage, they have 4 daughters (the youngest being my mom), 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grand children!

It was truly a perfect day…  Beautiful weather, and Elisabeth as the stunning bride.  I was so honored to be included in the bridal party, so I took shots throughout the day as much as I could.  I gave John my camera during the ceremony and was quite proud of the images he was able to capture!   So happy to be a part of their amazing day!  Congratulations!!

At Jen’s baby shower, she was given this note (I believe from her dad).  Thankfully, she did not need to return all the pink gifts she received that day. The doctor did not make a mistake, and Jen recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl.  Congratulations Tyler and Jen!  I cannot wait to meet your precious Lydia!

This was probably one of the most meaningful weddings I’ve been to.  Set in her family’s backyard, every detail of Gerald & Erin’s Jewish wedding was beautiful.  I really enjoyed learning about all the traditions and thought it was so special how absolutely everything was intentional — with a specific purpose.  Here are some of my favorites from their lovely day…
