Several months after first meeting Rob and JoAnne, we met up again in Reston for family portraits. This time, precious little Aidan was joining us! Sweet and serious, this little boy is such a cutie! We had a great time and it was obvious Rob and JoAnne are wonderful parents. :o)
In our family, the women try to get away for a weekend each year. So for 2009 we decided to visit the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. We used Vacation Rentals by Owner to find an amazing cabin in Asheville. Seriously, the owner was so sweet and came each evening to build us an outside fire and start up the hot tub! We definitely had a great time…
Recently, my great friend Sabrena Deal led a Fall Photography Forum. It was a great time for photographers in the Lynchburg, VA, area to learn from her about how she got started and some of her tips of the trade. Sabrena truly did such an amazing job in pulling this off! I love her heart for others and desire to serve. Her willingness to help others is evident in how she works with her clients and fellow photographers (which is rare in this competitive market!) In addition to sharing how she got started in the business — and openly dialoging with the group — she provided everyone with an awesome packet of information with services and resources for the industry. Nicole and I moved into the same house a little over a year ago. We bonded over late night snacks and long chats, and I’m sad to lose her as a roommate. But if we’re going to part ways, what better reason than for her to marry the love of her life! Nicole and Ryan met online, and after meeting Ryan, we all knew they were great for each other. Ryan has a very sweet demeanor — a true gentleman. And we knew he would treat Nicole well, like any girl wants and deserves. I’m so happy for them both and was so honored when they asked me to cover their special day!
