A few weeks ago Josh and Sabrena joined me in DC for their engagement session.  I met Sabrena almost a year ago as she was a huge asset to my sisters wedding last December. Being a photographer herself (www.scarterstudios.com),  I knew we’d have a blast — even in the pouring rain!

We started the shoot at Meadowlark, and after we were able to dry off a little, we headed downtown towards Union Station… In the picture of me at Meadowlark, notice the umbrella on my hip instead of over my head!  I was completely drenched since I was trying to keep my equipment from getting soaked.  🙂

Last year, I joined Duni, Abenet, and Caleb at the local pumpkin patch for some Fall photos.  Even though I didn’t have a blog at the time that these pictures were taken, I think they are worth posting, even if they are late…  Enjoy!

I had the great opportunity to photograph my friend Kurt’s wedding in Seattle.  His bride, Kaley, and her sister, Lacey, decided to get married on the same day — separate ceremonies with a joint reception at the spectacular Thornewood Castle.  This was my first double wedding and my first time out west!

Congratulations Ryan & Lacey and Kurt & Kaley!

Lynn and Joe have been dear friends of mine for several years now.  Lynn was one of my very first brides and I just had the privilege to photograph their second maternity session for their third baby…their first boy!  Congratulations Lynn and Joe, I can’t wait to meet baby Joseph Jr!

Before I show you pictures from the recent session, here are a few pictures from our first session a few years ago when Lynn was pregnant with their second daughter, Jossalyn….

And now…  baby Joseph!  We started out at the park where Lynn’s sister in law, Arika, joined us.  She’s also expecting a baby boy so we had some fun getting shots of the two beautiful preggie ladies.

My mama loves her hummingbirds, and we’ve really enjoyed watching them at the kitchen window and back patio. As you can see, they come really close and have almost become like our pets.  🙂
